France is a country that is steeped in history, culture and vibrancy, which is why it welcomes millions of visitors every single year. It’s capital, Paris, is known as the ‘City of Light’, but if you’re a romanticist, you may also associate it with being the ‘City of Love’. But, despite all of that, there are a multitude of amazing attractions scattered all over the region.

The Eiffel Tower
It’s hard to talk about France without mentioning its famous landmark – The Eiffel Tower. With it’s 320-meter-high frame, it dominates the Paris skyline, and gives the city an image of beauty, power, and strength. As a visitor, you’ll be able to climb the tower, and absorb the views from three different levels (the highest being 276 meters).
Louvre Museum
If you’re a lover of fine art, then you’ll feel right at home in the Louvre Museum. People flock to the museum every single year, mainly because it houses some of the best pieces throughout history. Just to name a few – Mona Lisa by Leonardo DaVinci, Wedding Feast at Cana by Veronese, and the Venus de Milo sculpture.
Notre-Dame Cathedral
Whether you’re religious or not, the Notre-Dame Cathedral must be appreciated for its magnificent design. It dates back several centuries, and the gothic style is accompanied by gorgeous stained-glass windows, and a UNESCO-listed status. So, if you want to witness something wonderful up close and person, visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles is much more than just a connection to Louis XIV’s powerful reign as king. It’s also a symbol of brilliant architecture, and the world-renowned Hall of Mirrors is definitely something to be admired. You’ll also find the popular French gardens here, as well as Marie-Antoinette’s hamlet.
Mont Saint-Michel
Also known as the ‘Pyramid of the Seas’, Mont Saint-Michel is a mesmerizing sight which resembles an island in high tide, as the glistening water surrounds it. Within Mont Saint-Michel, you’ll find the Abbaye de Saint-Michel, which has been in existence since 708. People love travelling here due to the aura, which is why it’s also referred to as ‘The Heavenly Jerusalem’.
Chamonix Mont-Blanc
Deep in the heart of the French Alps, you’ll discover Chamonix Mont-Blanc, which is the highest mountain peak in Europe, and something that certainly won’t be forgotten. Other than the views, you’ll be able to enjoy some skiing, marvellous restaurants, rock climbing, and much more.
Arc De Triomphe
The Arc De Triomphe is a colossal structure within Paris, and it was constructed to commemorate the victims of the Napoleonic Wars. This is also a wonderful spot for photographs, as if you get there at the right time, you can see the Arc nestled in front of a stunning sunset.
